The annual bazaar held on 3th November 2012 by the Asian Diplomats’ Wives Association (ADWA) in Cairo saw enormous response not only from members of the public but also the vendors participating in the event.
The bazaar which served as a platform for vendors and the public to make donations to support the charity cause saw a total of 25 booths set up by different countries. Proceed from the goods and donations received at the event will be channelled to Egyptian Charities.
The event took place at The Conrad Hotel, Cornish Nile, presented from 18 countries namely Brunei, Korea, Turkey, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Palestine, Iran, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Australia, Pakistan, Singapore, Mongolia and China.
Present at the bazaar was Dato Paduka Awg Hj Mohd Mahdi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awg Abdul Rahman, the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Egypt. The function was kept lively with involvement of Bruneian students in Cairo. It was an invaluable experiences and exposure.
Various kinds of food and craft are on display and sold at reasonable prices. To raise the charity cause there was also an auction of electronic products.
Another highlight were the lucky draws held in two sessions throughout the day with many attractive prizes awaiting the winners.
